Located in central Wisconsin, the district comprises nearly all of Waushara County and most of the southern half of Waupaca County, along with parts of western Winnebago County, southwest Outagamie County, southeast Portage County, and eastern Adams County. It includes the cities of Manawa, Wautoma, Waupaca, and Weyauwega, and the villages of Almond, Coloma, Fremont, Hancock, Lohrville, Ogdensburg, Plainfield, Redgranite, and Wild Rose.

Is there any cannabis related legislation you have sponsored, co-sponsored, or publicly supported? Would you like to provide a brief statement about your stance on cannabis reform?

I believe any discussion regarding cannabis policy should be based on facts, public safety, economic impacts, and the experiences of other states. Policymakers should carefully evaluate how proposed changes affect Wisconsin families, law enforcement, healthcare systems, local communities, and small businesses. I am also mindful of the risk that regulatory systems can unintentionally favor large corporations over small business owners and local entrepreneurs. Any policy changes should be evaluated with transparency and accountability to ensure they serve the interests of Wisconsin citizens rather than a select group of well-connected interests.

If you support an excise tax above and beyond what is needed to administer a regulation program, what percentage of excise tax do you feel is appropriate? Where do you think excise tax should be spent?

If cannabis is legalized, any excise tax should be reasonable and not so high that it encourages black-market sales or places unnecessary burdens on consumers and small businesses. My preference would be for taxes to be limited to what is necessary to administer and enforce the regulatory framework. If excise tax revenues exceed those costs, I would prioritize using those funds for purposes directly related to public health, substance abuse treatment, impaired driving enforcement, and local governments that may be impacted by legalization. I would not support using cannabis tax revenue as a substitute for responsible budgeting or as a justification for expanding government spending.

The Waupaca County Republican Party held a forum and 3 of the Republican Candidates showed up, Kevin Krentz was absent and they held a empty seat during the forum with his name on it.

Local newspaper ran a little piece about the 4 candidates and 3 participants… Krentz did not respond and so far, has totally ignored hemp cannabis also and my request to speak with him.
