Incumbent Sen. Jeff Smith (D) - cosponsored SB 1045 total legalization in 2025-26, was not on any hemp bills during 2025-26 Facebook, Website and email: info@togetherwithjeff.com

Republican front runner. Michele Magadance Skinner - Eau Claire County Board member since 2024; she did not respond in 2024 to cannabis questions. Her Facebook no website or email as of May 2026.

Skinner ran in 2024 Assembly race against Jodi Emerson, lost by 1101 votes (close election)

GEO: Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Eau Claire County, southeast Dunn County, and parts of southern Chippewa County and northern Trempealeau County. It includes the cities of Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Menomonie.

Current Strategy: Educate Smith on the importance of saving hemp first and coming off the 4 tier high tax legalization scheme; make contact with Skinner on the issue.
