Assembly District 59 - Washington, N Ozaukee, Southern Sheboygan, NE Dodge and SE Fond du Lac

Assembly District 59 is a solid Republican District (+47) and the Incumbent, Republican Robert Brooks retires leaving an open seat. Brooks was a co-sponsor of the Three Tier Bill, but also had been somewhat supportive of cannabis reform in the past.

Where is AD 59?

The district includes parts of northern Washington County, northern Ozaukee County, southern Sheboygan County, northeast Dodge County, and southeast Fond du Lac County. The district is home to the West Bend campus of Moraine Park Technical College and includes major natural resources such as the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Northern Unit, Cedarburg Bog, Harrington Beach State Park, and most of the Theresa Marsh. It includes the villages of Adell, Belgium, Campbellsport, Cedar Grove, Eden, Fredonia, Kewaskum, Random Lake, Saukville, and Theresa, along with part of the city of West Bend.

The strategy in this district is to put the pressure on the new Republican entering the Assembly.
