Senate District 9 - Sheboygan, Eastern Manitowoc and NE Fond du Lac County

Senate District 9 is a nice test race to watch, no Incumbent, not totally gerrymandered to the GOP favor (although the district is +15 Republican) and the first test for this district under the new maps and no Democrat on the ballot, just a Republican and Independent.

The district considered an open seat for a new GOP candidate and overall the Senate will see new leadership seat as the Incumbent LeMahieu (Minority Leader) did not seek re-election.

Assembly Reps. Tittl-R, Brill-R and Sheehan-D are all in the Senate District and stay put. It was expected that the Democrat would probably not seek the seat, while 1st term Brill (R) ends up unopposed in the Assembly (crap!) and Tittl (R) district is very secure for a Republican but he stays put and a name from the recent past declares.

Former Assembly 2022-24 Amy Binsfeld-(R) declared, no known stance on reform from her first term in office.

Strategy: Our initial strategy to encourage Brill to run to get her out of Assembly and into a primary battle for this Senate seat which she looses did not work out…so what is next folks? We urge all voters in the district to contact both candidates!

Wisconsin’s 9th Senate District (SD-09) comprises nearly all of Sheboygan County, southern and eastern Manitowoc County, and the northeast corner of Fond du Lac County. SD-09 is home to the cities of Sheboygan, Manitowoc, and Two Rivers, and over 178,000 proud Wisconsinites.

I believe that Craig from 3 Tall Pines has had some great conversations with the Independent Christian Ellis who indicates strong support for hemp cannabis reform.
